‘Phineas and Ferb’ Promises Some of Its Best Material Yet in the Revival

During its original run from 2007 through 2015,Phineas and Ferbbecame Disney Television Animation’s most successful series for kids and tweens, with five Emmy wins to its name and a BAFTA nomination. Moreover, the show branched out with feature-length installments like 2020’sPhineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universeandbig-name crossoverswith the likes of Marvel’s superheroes and theStar Warsuniverse. Despite the highs of the original, Martella believes some of the best is yet to come. In an interview with Collider’sAidan Kelley, he spoke about how the revival isaiming to keep the same fun-loving spirit alivebetween its music, the logic-defying contraptions the boys build, Perry the Platypus’s missions to stop Doofenshmirtz, and more. It’s a showhe’s eager to keep exploring, as he explained:

“Some of these episodesare really some of the best stuff that we’ve done. but I just hope that everyone has as much fun now with these new episodes as they did with the original run. And the message thatPhineas and Ferbalways has had is that, even when Candace wants to bust them, they want everyone to enjoy themselves. And that’s all I feel about the show coming back is I hope that everyone learns all the hard work and the love that we’ve been putting into this show, and I hope we get to do this forever. We all love this job. So,I would love to do more seasons after this.”
