It’s tough to keep the major story beats fromEuphoriaas a secret. One of the stars of the show,Eric Dane, recently talked about how hard it is for HBO to keep the internet in the dark when it comes to what’s going to happen in upcoming episodes of their acclaimed teen drama. It would almost be easy to believe Marvel Studios produced the title. The actor behind Nate’s (Jacob Elordi) father explained how some of the cast members fromEuphoriaonly take a look at their scenes a couple of days before filming happens:

“Listen, I don’t know anything. I haven’t seen a script. We get pages maybe a day or two before, but it’s all kept on the D.L. I just have so much trust in Sam Levinson that I don’t really need to know what’s happening. On the day, he can just tell me what to do and where to go, and I’m good with it.”

Euphoria Poster

Eric Dane has been playing Nate Jacobs' father for a few years. Previous episodes ofEuphoriaintroduced a love story for the character, explaining why he treats Jacob Elordi’s character with such violence and disrespect.Elias Kacavasportrayed the younger version of Cal Jacobs. Cal’s unpredictable past turned his relationship with his son into a violent cycle that has caused Nate to become a threat to both Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie).

While Eric Dane doesn’t see the bigger picture ofEuphoriauntil it’s almost time to step in front of the camera, that doesn’t mean that the same process applies to every cast member from the series. Dane’s role is considerably smaller than that ofZendayaorHunter Schafer. With the entire world wanting to find out what will happen next to Rue and her friends, it’s easy to understand why HBO wants to implement as much safety as possible in their scripts for future episodes.
