One Day At A Timeis based on the original sitcom of the same name that was featured through 1975-1984. However, instead of a divorced mother raising two daughters in Indianapolis, the remake focuses on a Cuban-American mother and former Army veteran living with PTSD and her two children.
The show revolves around each of the characters trying to find their identities and adjusting to their new lives apart from an alcoholic father.
