The second season ofRidley Scott’s horror anthology seriesThe Terrorhas a premiere date and some first images to get us excited (and spooked!) for the excellent series' return on AMC. The first season was an unexpected amalgam of seafaring, horror, and a historical event, all of which added up to a stunning investigation of how fear and uncertainty can drive men mad – well, that and spoiled tinned food. The collection of actors were tremendous, and the overall aesthetic truly made me feel like I was trapped with these voyagers in an ice-bound nightmare of Tuunbaq horror.
For its second season, the series is taking a wide swing in a different direction, one that is just as unique. As AMC describes it, “set during World War II, the haunting and suspenseful, second season of the horror-infused anthology,The Terror: Infamy, centers on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community, and a young man’s journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible.”

The now-titledInfamystarsDerek Mioas Chester Nakayama;Kiki Sukezane(Lost in Space) as Yuko, a mysterious woman from Chester’s past;Cristina Rodlo(Miss Bala) as Luz, Chester’s secret girlfriend;Shingo Usami(Unbroken) as Henry Nakayama, Chester’s father;Naoko Mori(Everest) as Asako Nakayama, Chester’s mother;Miki Ishikawa(9-1-1) as Amy, a Nakayama family friend; and renowned actor, producer, author and activistGeorge Takei(Star Trek) as Yamato-san, a community elder and former fishing captain.
