This weekend, Kadokawa unveiled the official release date for the upcoming season: new episodes start rolling out on July 9, a little more than three weeks from now. A trailer was unveiled along with the announcement, but a subbed version is yet to be released.

Aside from the trailer, Kadokawa also unveiled a poster for the new season that hints at the adventures that await viewers inThe Rising of the Shield HeroSeason 4. It brings the main characters front and center along with the adorable Raph-chan and suggests that there’s still a lot to go down with some of thelandmark villainsof the series. The tagline suggests that Naofumi Iwatani (voiced byKaito Ishikawain the original Japanese and byBilly KametzandStephen Fuin the English dub) will be even more influenced by the past history of his friends — especially after the discovery of some characters' true heritage at the end ofSeason 3.

Will Crunchyroll Stream ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ Season 4 Simultaneously With Japan?

For the new season ofThe Rising of the Shield Hero,Crunchyrollwill keep the release strategy the same as previous seasons, with episodes released simultaneously with the Japanese release. However, the streamer is yet to unveil a subbed anddubbed versionof the trailer for fans on this side of the world. Considering that the new season is just around the corner, though, a trailer is bound to come in the coming weeks.

The series is based on a light novel series created byAneko Yusagi, which was then adapted intomanga format.
