The first season ofThe Librarians: The Next Chapteris halfway over, with the team’s troubles advancing. Now, Collider is unveiling an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming seventh episode “And the Con-Con” where they must figure out a way to stop Harvey Pope (Chris Patrick-Simpson) and his ability to manipulate people with his voice. The only way it could work, in theory is if Harvey admits to his lies publicly. Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan) wants to, of course, being a Guardian of the past, use magic to stop him. He explains to the team that somewhere in the room lies a spell to silence him.
This comes as Connor Green (Bluey Robinson) deals with the ramifications of Harvey’s hold on Paige breaking, and Connor realizing her dislike of him, was actually genuine. In the sneak peek, Charlie Cornwall (Jessica Green), the modern Guardian, quickly shuts down Vikram want to use magic and instead offers up a scientific (or “godless” as Vikram remarks) solution. When the team discover just how they can stop Harvey through Charlie’s suggestion, the plan seems a-go, but Monday’s episode will reveal if their plan will work out.

“Well, I think we’ve learned from things like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or what they’re doing with Star Wars, that sometimesyou can tell a lot of different stories that all exist in the same place. John and I got really excited about thinking of what other stories could happen. In the movies, we met The Library, but in the original series, we discovered that there was an annex up in Portland, Oregon, and we started thinking about, “Well, where else have there been annexes? Where are there annexes now? What adventures happen at those annexes?”
