If someone somewhere was holding a weekly competition of superhero news, then WB/DC would most definitely take home the prize for this past week, thanks to the “DC Films Presents the Dawn of the Justice League” TV special. The premiere of the firstSuicide Squadtrailer has to be at the top of the list, butWonder Womandoesn’t get left behind by also showing off its first footage. Additionally,Justice Leagueteased us with some concept art, and there was a lot more news to look at as well. Catch up below.
David Ayer’sSuicide Squadcontinues to show us that whileBatman v Supermanis something to look forward to this year, the supervillain team-up film should definitely be on your radar as well. After a very successful teaser,Suicide Squadhas released its first official trailer, showcasing the baddies that will save the world this August. This first trailer perfectly captures what appears to be the chaotic fun that Ayer’s film will be, and gives us introductions to the characters we will get to see join forces.

Also, before the first trailer took all of the attention,Suicide Squadreleased a set ofcharacter postersand ateam poster, both of which were very colorful and effectively teased what would later be revealed.
‘Wonder Woman’ Reveals First Footage and Logo
The upcomingWonder Womanmovie is surrounded by a lot of anticipation and curiosity, particularly aboutGal Gadot’s portrayal of the iconic female character. To further feed that anticipation and curiosity, we recently got our first look at the film from the reveal ofthe first footageofPatty Jenkins’ superheroine film. This firstWonder Womanfootage featured Princess Diana in the WWI era putting her fighting skills to good use.

‘Justice League’ Concept Art Reveals Flash and Cyborg
As it is well explained in the title,Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill in some degree serve as the starting point of the Justice League, eventually leading to a team-up film of their own, but other than the Trinity (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman) we had yet to see anything fromJason Momoa’s Aquaman (other than the first image),Ezra Miller’s Flash, andRay Fisher’s Cyborg. However, The CW’s “DC Films Presents the Dawn of the Justice League” TV special saw fit to show usconcept art of the Justice Leagueas well assegments introducing Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg. The concept image gives us a peek at what the heroes might look like together inJustice League, and the individual segments see Momoa, Miller, and Fisher discussing their characters.
‘Batman v Superman’ Casts Martha Wayne
From what we know up to this point, it looks like we will see in some the degree the event responsible for the creation of Batman, Bruce Wayne witnessing the murder of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne inBatman v Superman. While there has been no official confirmation, it is believed thatJeffrey Dean Morganwill play Thomas Wayne, and according to reports, he will be joined byLauren Cohanas Martha Wayne. It’s unknown what degree of involvement the two will have in the story, but at the very least they will have a part in the iconic flashback that gave birth to The Dark Knight.
‘Green Lantern Corps.’ Officially Announced
Many want to forget the last time we saw Green Lantern on the big screen, and while we did know to expect aGreen Lantern Corpsfilm, it was a big question mark how it would fit into the movie universe WB is building withJustice League. Fortunately, thanks toGeoff Johns, we can now be sure thatGreen Lantern Corpswill fit into theJustice Leagueuniverse, and explore outer space. Sadly no other details were given about the film, so characters, castings, story, and all that good stuff will have to wait for another time.
