This week on the ColliderSupergirlrecap show, Kaori Takee, Clarke Wolfe, Carli Garsow, and Britta Garsow dive into the sophomore episode of Season 1 of CBS’s latest hit seriesSupergirl. While Kara is embracing her new identity as Supergirl, she discovers that she might need some practice at the whole superhero thing. Not making it any easier are Henshaw and Alex of the D.E.O., who put Kara through some serious tests before they feel ready to let her fly. Kara and Alex’s sisterhood is tested and the girls duke it out–literally and figuratively–when it comes to Kara’s safety.

Meanwhile, Cat Grant is determined not to let The Daily Planet scoop her on an exclusive with Supergirl, which leads her to enlist James Olsen to get the interview with the flying wonder of National City. Not entirely surprising, Kara initially refuses, as she’s not ready to face her boss as the “Girl of Steel.” While she mulls the decision to talk to Cat over, Winn and James help Kara get some much needed practice at saving the day. As if Kara didn’t have enough to worry about, National City has a new visitor in the form of a Hellgramite and General Astra is ready for a confrontation with her niece.Peter Facinellimade a quick appearance - his first of the season - as Maxwell Lord and Henshaw wasn’t quite himself in the episode’s final moments.
