If there is one thing we all know aboutTom Cruise,it is that he wants people to see movies in theaters. He has been a champion of the cinematic experience for his entire career, and more recently, his filmTop Gun: Maverickwas credited for bringing the movie industry back following the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, he is encouraging audiences to seeRyan Coogler’sSinnersin theaters, and he’s right to do so. The IMAX experience is unlike any other, and Coogler’s film has beenmaking waves with its box office success!
Cruise’s social media is typically all about movies. If he’s not posting about his new film,Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, he’s posting about films that he’s seen in theaters and loved. Last summer, he encouraged audiences to go seeGlen PowellinTwisters, and his encouragement of cinema hadGreta GerwigandMargot Robbiehelping encourage audiencesto go to theaters to seeMission: Impossible - Dead ReckoningandIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,as well as seeing theBarbieandOppenheimerdouble feature. Now,Cruise wants you to seeSinners.

Posted on his social media accounts, Cruise shared on X: “Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and to the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!” He’s referencing the two credit scenes that Coogler included in the film. The post also has Cruise standing in front of a poster forSinners, looking extremelyhappy with the filmand pointing back at the poster itself. This is, in a lot of ways, part of what makesCruise such a champion of film. Hehas often gone out to support movies in theatersand encourages others to do the same.
