The beloved Apple TV+ seriesMythic Questhas been canceled after four seasons. The series itself averaged a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes throughout its 4 seasons with Season 4 having 100% from critics. The show itself started airing only4 months after Apple TV+ startedas a platform andwas a series that many fans turned to. It’s “Quarantine” episode was a welcome beam of light in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Its cancelation comes aftermany praised Apple TV+ forallowing shows to livewithout canceling them after one or two seasons.
Mythic QuestJust Released a Spin-Off Series
Mythic Questhas been a part of Apple TV+ for so long that the series ended up getting aspin-off series calledSide Quest. The four-episode mini-series gave quick little glimpses intothose impacted by Mythic Quest as a game. There is an episode about one of the artists who work for the company, there’s one about a Black female-owned comic shop waiting for a new Mythic Quest issue, and more. Set in a fictional game development studio for a game called Mythic Quest, the cast navigates the challenges of trying to keep a massively multiplayer online game running and profitable. At the same time, egos and personalities clash in the workplace, as creative directors, engineers, HR, writers, and monetization teams are forced to scale their ambitions appropriately for the sake of the project.
