Years later, a ton of new rumors started spreading like wildfire stating that a third chapter would be coming to theatres, with original directorIvan Reitmanreturning and the entire cast.
And then the rumors started. Bill Murray hated the script. Bill Murray wanted to be killed in the first five minutes. Bill Murray wanted nothing to do with the movie, period. With so many false starts, drafts that went nowhere and the unfortunate passing of Harold Ramis, it seemed we would never get a newGhostbustersmovie. And then, along came Paul Feig.
The new movie hits theatres this Friday, July 15th, with an all-new cast inKristen Wiig,Melissa McCarthy,Kate McKinnon,Leslie Jones, andChris Hemsworthand written by Feig andKatie Dippold. The reboot has caused a major uproar among critics, fans and non-fans alike who seem to take issue with an all female led cast even before they saw the movie!
