The internet is full of fan videos showingTom HollandfilmingSpider-Man: Brand New Dayin Glasgow. The web-slinger’s next appearance was highly anticipated by the fans especially after the events ofNo Way Home. Marvel Studios isn’t shying away from flaunting Holland’s return as we gotthe first look at the actor in a new costumerecently, a perfect way to avoid spoilers and create hype asDestin Daniel Crettontakes a more practical filming approach.
As for the villain of the next installment, everything is tightly under wraps, but fans have been long-itching to see Mister Negative in the MCU and have even been fan-castingLoststarDaniel Dae Kimin the role. And Kim has heard the fans, in a new interview withScreenRant, the actor discussed his fan-casting and revealed that he’d be open to taking up the “interesting” role. He said,

“I heard something about that over the past six or seven months, and I saw that. I’ve seen that people want other Asian actors to play him as well, so I’m happy to be included in that conversation, butI haven’t heard anything. It’s interesting. I’m always up for an interesting role and an interesting project.”
In the comic, Mister Negative is traditionally Spider-Man’s arch nemesis and torments heroes like Punisher and Shang-Chi, so, his addition to the MCU will further add more dynamics to the street-level heroes. However, nothing has been confirmed yet about the villain’s entry into the cinematic universe. While Marvel loves to do fan service, it’s anyone’s guess whether Kim really joins the universe as Mister Negative. But for fans who really want to see Kim in a web-slinger’s movie, check outTobeyMaguire’sSpider-Man 2, where he plays Raymond, an assistant of Doctor Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina).

What Do We Know About ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
A lot, actually. As the film began production, Marvel gave us a good look at Holland and his new Spider-Suit with raised webbings. Furthermore, the cast had recently added two heavyweights akaMark Ruffalo’s HulkandJon Bernthal’s Punisher. It’s to be noted that despite both Hulk and Peter being part ofAvengers: Endgame, we haven’t seen them interacting on-screen at all. It’ll be interesting to see how theBrand New Daypress run goes, as both Ruffalo and Holland have naively given fans spoilers in the past. As for Bernthal, who previously worked with Holland inPilgrimage,Spider-Man 4will mark his first big-screen MCU appearance.
Spider-Man: Brand New Dayis currently filming. Stay tuned to Collider for more such updates.
