‘Justice League’: Behind-the-Scenes Video Celebrates End of Filming

In recent weeks we’ve heard about different cast members ofZack Snyder’sJustice Leaguecompleting their scheduled shoots separately, but this week we gotconfirmation that the movie has indeed wrapped filming. The reveal ofJustice Leaguecompleting its U.K. shoot didn’t just come from a simple announcement, but from a behind-the-scenes video shared by Snyder himself where he thanked everyone involved in the project. There’s a lot to look at in the video and it’s definitely a nice little peek at what goes into making a film of this size. We got behind-the-scenes looks at material we have already seen from the trailer or images, plus new looks at the heroes in action. One thing that shines through is that the people involved had a lot of fun, something that many people are hoping to get from the finished product.

‘Iron Fist’: First Official Image and Trailer

I think it’s safe to assume you’ve already went through the entire first season ofLuke Cage, so now it’s time to get excited for the arrival of the final Defender. This week we had plenty of reasons to be excited with the reveal of thefirst image, premiere date, and thefirst trailerfor Marvel’sIron Fist. Through a short teaser video it was revealed that Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) will be landing on Netflix June 05, 2025, so time to set those reminders, although I’m sure the marketing team won’t let us forget. Speaking of marketing, we also got the first official image formIron Fist, where we see Danny Rand putting those fighting skills to very good use, given the number of bodies lying around. Finishing the week strongly we also got the first trailer forIron Fist, introducing us to Danny Rand in all his kung-fu glory while also hinting at the journey the hero will embark on when the series premieres. It’s understandable that we didn’t get a whole lot of plot this early and from a teaser trailer, we have plenty of time to get into that before March.

‘Wolverine 3’ Officially Titled ‘Logan’, Plus First Poster

Slowly but surely more and more light is being shed on the upcomingWolverine 3, given that now we can call it by itsofficial title and we got the first posterfrom theJames Mangoldfilm. Mangold took to his Twitter this week to share a picture of a page of the script of the film, showcasing the official title of the movie is simplyLogan. Later on Mangold and Wolverine himself,Hugh Jackman, revealed the first official poster forLogan, where we only see a shot of Logan’s hand (claws included) being held by a child’s hand. Both the tile and the poster are simple yet great reveals, but still manage not to give us anything as far a story goes. I do want to point out that the fact that not using “X-Men” or “Wolverine” on the title shows the confidence they have on the character and how recognized it is, we’ll see if that continues during the rest of marketing campaign.

This week Mangold also gave us abehind-the-scenes lookatPatrick Stewart’s Professor X, who by the looks of the picture won’t be in the greatest of shapes inLogan.

‘Batman’ Standalone Film Will Be Titled ‘The Batman’

It was a superhero-movies-getting-simple-titles kind of week, withBen Affleck’s standaloneBatmanmovie alsogetting a simple title this week. During an interview, Affleck revealed that the title for the upcoming solo film will simply beThe Batman. The movie is in early stages so the title is something that could change as development continues, Affleck makes note of the possible change on his statement as well, but for now we can stick to calling the filmThe Batman.I really hope they decide to keep this title, I’ll take a simple title likeThe Batmanover unnecessary wordplay likeThe Caped Crusader: Rise of Deathstroke.

‘Black Panther’: Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya, and Florence Kasumba Join Cast

The cast of theRyan Coogler’s highly-anticipatedBlack Pantherjust got a little bigger this week, but we’re not just talking about size because talent is the word to use when taking about the cast so far and the latestcast additions. According to reports, Academy Award-winning actorForest Whitakerhas joinedBlack Panther, along with actorsDaniel KaluuyaandFlorence Kasumba. Whitaker is reportedly playing a character named Zuri who is an elder statesman of Wakanda, Kaluuya will play a confidant to T’Challa named W’Kabi, and Kasumba returns to play the Dora Milaje warrior you might remember fromCivil War(the one who told Black Widow to move or be moved).

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’: Tom Holland and Jon Watts Share Photos and Videos as Filming Wraps

This week was also a superhero-movies-finish-shooting kind of week, as we also learned thatSpider-Man: Homecominghasconcluded principal photographyas well. As filming wrapped on the movie, directorJon Wattsand starTom Hollandcommemorated the event through photos and videos on Instagram. Holland shared a photo of a plane full of sleepySpider-Man: Homecomingpeople, while Watts posted a short video where he lets fly a white balloon with Spidey’s face and the words “That’s a wrap!” The important thing we can take away here is that we’re that much closer toSpider-Man: Homecoming.

‘The Punisher’: Cast Announcement and Set Photos Revealed

Another upcoming Netflix series made some noise this week, withThe Punishergetting in on the fun withcasting announcementsandset photosthat include afamiliar face. As far as casting,Ben Barneswas confirmed to join as Frank Castle’s friend Billy Russo, along withEbon Moss-Bachrachas former NSA analyst Micro, andAmber Rose Revahas Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani. From the first set photos we see a beardedJon Bernthalin the streets of NYC as Frank Castle, also including looks at a meeting withDeborah Ann Woll’s Karen fromDaredevil. With all the heroes that will be running around the streets of New York in this Netflix universe, one has to wonder how crime will continue to exist, or what villains will be brave enough to commit any crimes knowing what’s on the other side.

‘Power Rangers’: First Trailer and New Posters Released

Power Rangerswill be making its way into theaters next year, and this week we got a sample taste of what that will look like with the release of thefirst traileralong with newcharacter postersfor the movie. The new posters are all about showing off the Rangers in their suits, Power Coins and fighting poses included. The assumption was that the film would take a more serious turn compared to its bright and campy source material, and by the looks of the trailer that was the case after all. The trailer is a good introduction to the story of these outsiders coming together and discovering something that will change their world. What I am curious to see is how they walk that line between moving away from the campiness but also not taking itself too seriously, it is teenagers in giant robots fighting aliens after all.
