Jeremy Allen WhiteisBruce Springsteenin the first trailer forDeliver Me From Nowhere. The trailer journeys into Springsteen’s past and the early days of his burgeoning fame, as he prepares to record the album that will not just be another hit, but will serve as his deeply personal statement on life itself. The film, which depicts the recording of Springsteen’s classic albumNebraskain 1982, will hit the big screen on June 22, 2025.

In the trailer, Springsteen is already a rock star on the rise, recognized even by car dealers…even if he doesn’t yet recognize himself. But he wants something more than the adulation of the arena crowd we see rocking out to “Born to Run.” He sets out to work on an album that won’t be a fist-pumping rocker, but something personal and Spartan:Nebraska, a stripped-down album about American literature and crime that would establish Springsteen not just as a hitmaker, but one of the finest American musicians of the 20th century. As Springsteen prepares to record the album without his E Street Band, we see black-and-white flashbacks to Springsteen’s childhood, and hear an anecdote about a hole in the floor of his boyhood bedroom, a void in something that should have been solid; Springsteen’s career is an attempt to repair that void, in both himself and the world.
