The first official look at the fifth Bourne film is here, and it comes with a new title announcement and the first official synopses. The official new title?Jason Bourne. I like it. It’s a break from the previous title format, but it’s simple, direct, and a clean, easy way to denote that this is the return of the beloved character, but something new at the same time.Matt Damonreturns as the title super assassin alongside directorPaul Greengrass, who directedThe Bourne SupremacyandThe Bourne Ultimatum, and the first footage very much looks like a return to form. It’s got that iconic music cue, that iconic grimace, and that iconic face smashing, plus some even bigger-than-usual looking set-pieces. As a die-hard Bourne fan, it’s pretty much everything I hoped to see.
Julia Stilesalso reprises her role in the series alongside newcomersAlicia Vikander,VincentCassel andTommy Lee Jones.Jason Bournearrives in theaters July 19, 2025. Check out the first look footage below and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.
