SinceAvengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has leaned a lot more into television programming via Disney+, bringing some awesome characters to the small screen, including Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), and even fan-favorites like Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Many MCU characters are all over Disney+ shows, and street-level heroes seem to be on the rise with shows likeDaredevil: Born Again,Ironheart, andYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manfocusing more on grounded stories.

If this is the direction they’re leaning towards with the Disney+ side of the MCU going forward, plenty of street-level heroesfrom the Marvel Comics world, both in the MCU already and not, would fit very well. Whether they’re a hero from films that haven’t appeared in a Disney+ project yet or a character who’s not even in the MCU,a lot of street-level heroes could fit perfectly on Disney+.

Jessica Drew as Spider Woman runs forward in Marvel Comics

10Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)

Peter won’t be the only spider for long!

While major film audiences know Jessica Drew for her character’s involvement inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Spider-Woman often operates as a street-level hero. While she has dabbled in bigger events thanks to her affiliation with the Avengers and Spider-Verse, Jessica Drew, in her daily life, is more street-level.

Working as a SHIELD agent, she has been sent on numerous missions that aren’t always world-ending but often on the sidewalks and rooftops of New York City. She’s also a good friend of Jessica Jones, another famous street-level hero who’s returning to the MCU inDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 2. Thus, Spider-Woman could easily beintroduced through her pal as a cameoand maybe even be part of Daredevil’s army (probably not, but one can dream).

9White Tiger (Angela Del Toro)

We’re so close…

While a version of White Tiger (Kamar de los Reyes) was recently featured inDaredevil: Born Again, he sadly met his end after having his name cleared thanks to Matt Murdock. However, something that many may not know is that White Tiger is a legacy character and, in the comics, his niece—also inDaredevil: Born Again—took up the White Tiger mantle, as well.

With Angela Del Toro (Camila Rodriguez) already inDaredevil: Born Again, and looking for vengeance,it’s pretty likely that she’ll don the mantle her uncle once hadto help Daredevil. White Tiger is a really interesting legacy character, with Hector Ayala’s sister, Ava Ayala, even taking up the mantle at one point, too. It looks like White Tiger is on its way to Disney+ soon.

8Daredevil (Elektra Natchios)

Matt Murdock isn’t the only Daredevil.

The originalDaredevilNetflix show’s second season features a crucial character for Matt Murdock, Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung). While she may have died inThe Defenders, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to have a character come back from the dead. Matt practically did in Season 3 (somewhat).

In the comics,Elektra is currently Daredevil alongside Matt. This storyline could be really cool for a futureDaredevil: Born Againseason to add conflict to the hero’s internal arc. As if life couldn’t get crazier for him, something like this would throw him for a loop. Elektra working as a hero under this mantle has also been received incredibly well by readers, so there’s a good chance people would enjoy it. She could also be a crucial member ofthe new team of Defendersthat Daredevil is clearly putting together.

7Cloak and Dagger (Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen)

From Freeform to Disney+?

For Marvel Comics fans, Cloak and Dagger are pretty popular street-level heroes. They’re an amazing duo, and their power sets work super well together. Indeed, they’re one of the most effective duos in the Marvel universe, even if they remain somewhat underappreciated. However, these two are ramping up in popularity thanks to their inclusion inMarvel Rivals. They also have had a two-season television series on Freeform in the past withMarvel’s Cloak & Dagger.

If Marvel wanted to bring them into the MCU via Disney+,Marvel’s Cloak & Daggercould potentially get renewed, orthey could join the ranks of the armycoming inDaredevil: Born Again. It would probably be pretty easy to simply recastOlivia HoltandAubrey Joseph. Fans of the series would definitely love to see them come back, though, thanks to how underrated that show was.

6Daughters of the Dragon (Colleen Wing and Misty Knight)

They’re great, but the name is also cool as heck.

Both Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) and Misty Knight (Simone Missick) have appeared in the Netflix corner of the MCU in the past inIron Fistfor the former andLuke Cage,Iron Fist, andThe Defendersfor the latter. The viewers haven’t really seen them get to actually team up, however, which opens the door for a potential return, especially inDaredevil: Born Again. Given the fact that so many other Netflix-era MCU characters are coming to Disney+ through this show, there’s no question that these two characters could do the same.

In the comics, the two are called the Daughters of the Dragon. Much like most other street-level heroes, these two would makeperfect additions to Daredevil’s army, especially since they’re both so integrated into that Netflix world, and people are also begging to see Colleen again, now that she holds the power of the Iron Fist. Moreover, the MCU is in dire need of female friendship, and these two are arguably Marvel’s most iconic female partnerships.

5Iron Fist (Danny Rand)

Finn Jones was in NYC while Born Again was filming…

If there’s a character that never really got the shot they deserved at being as good as they could have been, it’s Danny Rand (Finn Jones). With his Netflix series,Iron Fist, not getting great attention, Finn Jones really didn’t get much recognition for his portrayal as the other Netflix leads got for theirs. However, there’s the funny fact that both he andMike Colterwere seen in New York City at the same timeDaredevil: Born Againwas filming its second season.

To give Iron Fist another shotat redemption would be great, as fans of the character from the comics is actually a total badass. With Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) being the master martial artist for the Avengers, it seems as ifthe streets of New York City may need a martial artist for themselves, and who better than Danny Rand?

4Blade (Eric Brooks)

If he comes to the MCU at all…

If anything has been clear these past few years, it’s that Marvel Studios’Blademovie is struggling to get off the ground. With news about theMahershala Ali-led film being in “production hell"bouncing around all the time, there’s really no telling if he’ll ever make his way to the MCU. However,a Disney+ series would be a good way to introduce him if they’re struggling.

Whilehe might fight vampires, Blade is definitely considered a street-level hero for the most part. He’s not typically going to space or doing anything related to world-ending events. Most of the time, he’s hunting vampires on the ground, making him a more grounded hero despite the inherent supernatural quality of his persona. Honestly, at this point, just put him in something, Marvel. Hurry up!

3Prowler (Hobie Brown)

Aaron Davis isn’t the only one…

While Aaron Davis may be the most well-known holder of the Prowler mantle, thanks toSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the original Prowler’s secret identity was none other than a peer of Peter Parker, Hobie Brown. Aaron Davis (Donald Glover) made an appearance inSpider-Man: Homecoming, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be the first Prowler, and the door is still open for Hobie to make his entrance.

Although he started as an antagonist of Spider-Man, Hobie eventually grew to be a really good guy and redeemed himself. It would be verycool to see another street-level hero from the Spidey cornerof the Marvel universe operating in New York City. It would also allow someone from the Spider-Man lore to exist on Disney+ without the web-crawler and the A-list actor who plays him popping in constantly on the small screen.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

2Power Man (Luke Cage)

We know you’re in NYC, Mike Colter.

Anothercharacter from the old Netflix universethat needs to make a comeback alongside Jessica Jones is Luke Cage. The bulletproof man is very compelling, and his series,Luke Cage, was critically received very well, especially for Mike Colter’s lead performance. It was action-packed, and the emotion got people’s heartstrings pulled, as well.

It would be amazing to see the Defenders come together once again, nearly a decade afterThe Defendersand the final season ofLuke Cageaired. Alongside Finn Jones, actor Mike Colter was also in NYC while the crew was filmingDaredevil: Born Again. Coincidence? Hopefully not, becauseI really want Colter to get another chance to prove himself in the role.

1Spider-Man (Peter Parker)

Everyone wants it!

WithTom Holland’s Spider-Man theme motif playing during the final scene ofDaredevil: Born Again, the passion everyone has for a Spider-Man and Daredevil team-up has only grown. Ever since the devil-horned hero made his return to the MCU, people have been practically begging for the two to finally crossover. With Spider-Man now far more street-level than he was before, it makes way more sense that he swings on down to the Disney+ shows every once in a while.

With all of New York City thrown into chaos and vigilantes being outlawed,it makes sense for Spider-Man to get involved in some way. Eventually, he’s got to make his way down to the streets below and help Daredevil and the gang out in taking down a classic villain once and for all. The character is far more street-level now, thanks to the status quo change at the end ofSpider-Man: No Way Home, so he should be getting involved in things like this city-wide conflict.
