We’re only two months into 2016, but we’ve already seen the first trailers formostof this summer’s big blockbusters. However, one huge movie remains relatively mysterious, and that’s Sony’s high-profilenewGhostbustersfilm. The studio worked for years to try and get a new entry in the franchise off the ground before finally finding a solid take withBridesmaidsandSpydirectorPaul Feig, who opted to reboot the property with a slew of talented comedic actresses rather than attempt another sequel.
We’ve been wondering for a while now when we’ll finally get to see a trailer for this thing, and the answer arrived today in the form of a trailer announcement teaser. That’s the good news, but the bad news is the trailer isn’t coming until March 3rd, so we’ve still got a ways to go until we seeMelissa McCarthy,Kate McKinnon,Leslie Jones, andKristin Wiigin action as the titular Ghostbusters.

What wehaveseen thus far aresome promising images, including a fantastic look atChris Hemsworthas the busters’ secretary. In keeping with the gender bending of this new entry, Hemsworth fills the role previously held by the incomprableAnnie Pottsin the original movies, and I can’t wait to see the comedic potential Feig brings out of theThoractor.
For now, this announcement teaser is the best we’ve got, so take a look below and continue to wait patiently until that first trailer arrives in a couple of weeks.Ghostbustersalso starsCecily Strongand opens in theaters on July 15th.
