The day after the creator ofThe Boysdropped a major update on the fifth seasonthat even included the first behind-the-scenes photo from the production from the final season, the first spin-off inThe Boysuniverse just got an update from one of its stars.Sean Patrick Thomas, who plays Polarity inGen V,The Boysspin-off series following a young group of supes at Godolkin University, recently confirmed his involvement in the second season of the show toTVLineand also revealed a major detail.Chance Perdomo, who played Polarity’s son Andre in the show, tragically passed away earlier this year, and while the show is moving forward without him, that doesn’t mean his presence won’t be felt in the second season, according to the star:
“I don’t want to give too much away, but Polarity will be in Season 2. Season 2 is really going to be, in a lot of ways, a tribute to Chance Perdomo. Hopefully, we do him justice.”

Perdomo passed beforeGen VSeason 2 began production, so Andre will not be a part of the second season, but it’s still good to hear that the show will pay tribute to him and honor his legacy and memory. Perdomo’s Andre was one of the bright spots ofGen V, which was strongly received by critics and audiences, earning a nearly flawless 97% score from critics and a 76% rating from general audiences onRotten Tomatoes. Both of those ratings would undoubtedly be lower if not for Perdomo’s involvement, and the show is making the right move bynot recasting the characterand moving forward differently.Gen VSeason 2 recently wrapped filming, and while an official release date has not been set, fans are optimistic it will premiere in the first half of 2025.
