Comic-Con 2016has unveiled its full Saturday schedule, and it’s pretty much business as usual. As it has the past few years, Warner Bros. kicks off Hall H’s big day with a mysterious two-hour block that will undoubtedly offer a look at DC films likeSuicide SquadandWonder Woman, and I’d be surprised ifJustice Leaguewasn’t also on the docket. But Warner Bros. will also be bringingKong: Skull Islandand who knows what else, as they generally pull out all the stops in touting their upcoming slate of blockbusters.
And then rounding out the day’s big movie panels is, as usual, Marvel Studios, which makes a triumphant return after sitting out last year’s Hall H panels. The logline is, as always, bare bones, but expect looks atDoctor StrangeandGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2at the very least, and possibly some major casting announcements as production onAvengers: Infinity Waris set to get underway in December.
Elsewhere, we’ve got the bigAliens30th Anniversary Panel, which is sure to be engaging given thatJames Cameronwill be in attendance. And there’s also theStar Trekpanelwhich brings togetherWilliam Shatner,Scott Bakula,Brent Spiner,Jeri Ryan, andMichael Dornfor a discussion on the franchise’s legacy. Moreover, always a highlight in Hall H is Entertainment Weekly’s “Women Who Kick Ass” panel, which brings together various women to discuss life and their experience in the industry. This year’s panelists includeMorena Baccarin,Melissa Beniost,Tatiana Maslany,Lucy LawlessandWonder WomanstarConnie Nielsen.
