‘The Book of Eli’ Prequel Starring John Boyega Is Still In The Works
First reported in early 2024,John Boyegais set to headline and executive produce an upcomingBook of Eliprequel series, which remains in development. The series will focus on Washington’s character’s early life, set in the immediate aftermath of the nuclear event that scorched the Earth. Boyega is collaborating closely with original screenwriterGary Whittaand directorsAlbert and Allen Hughes, who are returning to shape the series. While the project is still being pitched to streaming platforms, anticipation is growing for this deeper dive into the origins of Eli’s world, one where survival, faith, and violence collide.
